ITEMS: Stunning Pair of Antique Czech Bohemian Earrings! These feature a bronze or antiqued brass-colored Art Deco / Art Nouveau fan design with a turquoise blue-colored rhinestone followed by a brilliant ruby or garnet red-colored Czech crystal drop. The shape of the drop just captures the light beautifully and makes it appear to radiate! The earrings measure around 3 7/8 " from top to bottom and are marked CZECHO on the back of the cone findings. These gorgeous earrings are sure to capture attention for your holiday gatherings!
HISTORY: These earrings were made in the 1920s / 1930s in what was known as Northern Bohemia, in the Jablonec Nad Nisou region which was part of Czechoslovakia. This area is now part of the modern day Czech Republic. The region has always been known for its beautiful glass and jewelry. The drops were made from glass rods that were hand-pressed into molds almost 100 years ago.
CONDITION: Great condition for being around 80 - 90 years old with some minor flaws that are normal for an item of this age. Metal has a terrific aged patina that is appropriate for its years. The backs of the drops are not smooth along the edges - I believe that they came out of the mold like this as opposed to damage. Please look at all photos carefully as these are an important part of the description.
