These earrings are made from quality findings and stones. All findings are Vermeil (heavily gold plated sterling silver) and the smooth briolettes are a raspberry colored opaque ruby.
I created this style after making the roman style three cone earrings, thinking that these would work better as everyday earrings while still being in somewhat the same style. Then I just recently found out that this kind of earring actually existed during roman times! They are 5 cm (2 inches) long from top of hook to bottom of bead.
