All of my jewelry is handmade by me using wire and a cold connection technique that requires no heat or adhesives. With the use of just my hands and some hand tools I have designed and shaped all of the wire using exact measurements. Finally, it was buffed and polished by hand. The entire process is time intensive, but the results are well worth it.

This design is inspired from my shorter version of the herringbone wire weave that can be seen in my Etsy shop or in the gallery section of my web-site. I have added an open spiral to the top of the weave and elongated the ear wire and hanging stem to give added length to this design.

Circa 1920s / 1930s Antique Art Nouveau / Art Deco Czech Glass Dangle Earrings with Art Deco Fan Design and Ruby Red-Colored Glass Drops

ITEMS: Stunning Pair of Antique Czech Bohemian Earrings! These feature a bronze or antiqued brass-colored Art Deco / Art Nouveau fan design with a turquoise blue-colored rhinestone followed by a brilliant ruby or garnet red-colored Czech crystal drop. The shape of the drop just captures the light beautifully and makes it appear to radiate! The earrings measure around 3 7/8 " from top to bottom and are marked CZECHO on the back of the cone findings. These gorgeous earrings are sure to capture attention for your holiday gatherings!

HISTORY: These earrings were made in the 1920s / 1930s in what was known as Northern Bohemia, in the Jablonec Nad Nisou region which was part of Czechoslovakia. This area is now part of the modern day Czech Republic. The region has always been known for its beautiful glass and jewelry. The drops were made from glass rods that were hand-pressed into molds almost 100 years ago.

CONDITION: Great condition for being around 80 - 90 years old with some minor flaws that are normal for an item of this age. Metal has a terrific aged patina that is appropriate for its years. The backs of the drops are not smooth along the edges - I believe that they came out of the mold like this as opposed to damage. Please look at all photos carefully as these are an important part of the description.

Bottled Up Designs, from antique glass and bottles reclaimed from wooded habitas and rural farmlands in the Pennsylvania Amish Country in an effort to help the environment and wildlife!

Beautiful antique brass filigree teardrops hold the glowing remains of rich ruby glass from 1940's ruby beer botles taken from these natural habitats! Teardrops hang a total of 1 1/4" including ring at the top from brass ear wires.

Each piece of Bottled Up Designs includes "The Story of the "Glass" detailing what the glass was originally, and the age of the piece.

Vintage Rhinestone Crystal Beautiful Bow Earrings

I don't collect vintage jewelry, but I am constantly given pieces from grandmothers and friends whomever that has extra pieces or old pieces from grandma that they don't want. Grandmother passed away and her huge collection of vintage jewelry that she had collected landed in my house. I love to use pieces in jewelry, but some pieces I don't want to dismantle for a jewelry piece.

These earrings are about 1.5" long in total. They are bright and beautiful, probably from the 60's or before or after. Kind of a classic timeless piece. They are posts and all the rhinestones are set in a gold setting. I haven't looked for a stamp on the back to see who made these, or whatever. It's just too hard to see. But they are solid and beautiful.

Did you know the popularity of the jeweled bow pin and earrings began with the Royal Jewels in the UK. In fact, the bow is still a favorite piece of Queen Elisabeth. I watched that on youtube documentary called the Royal Jewels, or the Crown Jewels. Very interesting on how we got our styles of today.

These gold chandelier earrings are made in a fine hand engraved process on lost wax and then cast in 14k gold . Six ruby stones are placed on each earring. These very gentle, oriental style, earrings suit a bride and any other classic look.
For design I am many times inspired by tree pods and try to resemble their appearance in my jewelry. When I made this earring I was influence by a little pod which I particular liked.

Inspired by the density of flowers that bloom during those glorious weeks of spring, these earrings pack five varieties of golden flowers into a 29mm base. This vibrant earring set is made with recycled silver and 18K gold (5dwt per earring) and features 38 points of conflict-free, diamond cut rubies (twelve 1.5pt rubies and ten 2pt rubies), four 1.5mm white pearls and omega clips for the earring backs. Vintage Navaratna 9Gem Earrings Gold India c1920-40 Ruby Sapphire Diamond (#5741)

Antique vintage earrings. 18k yellow gold ruby pearl coral emerald sapphire diamond garnet cat's eye. Made in India circa 1920-40's.

Measurements: diameter of tops are a little under 1/2 inch (11mm). Weigh 5.0 grams. Each stone is very approximately 15pts.

Navaratna is a Sanskrit compound word meaning "nine gems". Jewelry created in this style has important cultural significance in almost every Asian religion. The arrangement of the gemstones is a metaphor for the universe and besides it's complex spiritual, cosmic and personal significance, offers protection to the wearer from all directions. See list of stones and their order below. The ruby, representing the sun, is always in the center.

The ring can be worn by either a man or a woman. Such importance is given to this combination of nine gems that they are recognized as sacred and royal in almost all the countries of Asia.

This is a classic Navaratna setting with the ruby in the center, surrounded by the correct gemstones in their order. Stones are set in a circle with undulating, wavy borders matching the outline of the rosecut gem stones. Very colorful and attractive and suitable for every type of wear (day or night).

Marks: none. Gold was acid tested as 18k.

Condition: good with minor wear commensurate with age. Please see enlarged pictures for details.

Framed slices of natural colored sapphires in a deep gray pink with cool blue overtones. Interesting color. Organic ovals that are 15mm (5/8").

Faceted gems: light pink ruby hearts (7mm or 1/4" diameter), peridot in it's true nature made crystalline form (1/8" or 5mm), pale yellow lemon quartz (7.5mm), and olive green vesuvianite (8.5mm).

All of the gemstones are natural color, not enhanced.

Total length is 1-7/8" (4.5cm).

Ruby and sapphire are both the mineral corundum.

Vesuvianite is an unusual gem that is similar in color to peridot, but not as clear as that more popular gem. It's tone is an intense warm green, similar to tourmaline.
