Vintage Lucite clip on earrings from the early 1940's. These earrings are faceted in a streamlined rocket shape in a translucent absolute red. Early Lucite, also known as Acrylic Glass, was an exotic material that could be finely cut with the luster of glass while retaining the lightweight properties of plastic. This set is an excellent example - the variations of light reflections are ever changing and truly stunning in clear, constant, ruby red!
