I designed these earrings around these high quality 7/8"x5/8" Kashgar Garnet puffed oval gemstones. Discovered in Northern China, this semi-translucent to opaque garnet material is named after the famous city of Kashgar, known as the Oasis City along the "Silk Road" trading route that links Asia from east to west.
I chose the most complimentary colors of 3mm and 6mm Fancy Jasper I had in my collection to mirror the Kashgar Garnet (which has beautiful marbling of earthy reds and greens). Each Jasper piece is slightly translucent with veins running through them.
The earrings dangle 1 3/4" from Surgical Steel ear wires (hypoallergenic).
